ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in the development and preparation of cost/price proposals in response to RFP requirements and ensure compliance with all government regulations and firm policies within a professional services, consulting, and/or government contracting environment.
Assist with the development of complex cost/price models, using MS Excel, which address solicitation requirements.
Adhere to and assist in developing internal processes and procedures.
Work closely with operations, contracts, finance, human resources, proposals and other departments to ensure price proposals are professional, compliant, accurate, competitive and profitable.
Conduct financial analysis including budgeting and forecasting for ongoing contracts.
Offer guidance and recommendations to program managers, directors and partners to maximize engagement profitability and improve forecast accuracy across the organization.
Guide program managers in assessing whether potential candidates to fill open roles meet contract requirements and provide an acceptable financial return for a given project.
Serve as a liaison between operations and other administrative support organizations with respect to financial issues. Interface with subcontractors, vendors and customers as required.
Coordinate any audit requests concerning cost disclosed contracts with the firm’s contracts and compliance teams.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

Minimum of two to three years of pricing or other financial related experience is desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Organizational skills to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with little oversight.
Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze solicitation requirements and develop tools and processes to enhance overall effectiveness.
Understanding of all contract types (e.g., firm fixed price (FFP), time & materials (T&M), cost plus fixed fee (CPFF)).
Familiarity with the process of pricing development and CAS/FAR/DFAR regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
