At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.


Development of performance analysis for a Federal law enforcement agency. The resource will develop analysis and dashboards for one component within the agency, while working with other teams to coordinate analysis and methodology. The team creates and manages Tableau dashboards using aggregated data structures and analysis methods relevant to the agency. Further refine existing models to incorporate previously un-modeled agency components. Coordinate with internal process owners to collect requirements and formulate methodologies to calculate mission related performance measurement needs. Develop ad hoc supplemental analysis to address pressing issues related to performance. Collaborate with end users and stakeholders to identify needs, goals and metric measurements to create easy-to-understand interfaces allowing for quickly identification of key themes within the data. Develop model documentation including developer guides, end-user guides, and training presentations.

Secondary Responsibilities:
Respond to associated reporting requests
Perform ad-hoc data visualization and optimization

Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.


Experience with relational databases, transformations, aggregation and data visualization
Intermediate to advanced Tableau
Intermediate to advanced R
Data collection and analysis
Data management (SQL, SAS, other)
Strong technical aptitude; experience with reporting development and systems integration
Client interfacing and meeting facilitation
Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience with Business Objects, Data Warehouse prior to Tableau
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
