Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst is to support the National Financial Analysis group in the preparation, review, and distribution of regular and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
·Assist in preparation, quality control, and distribution of financial statements and metrics across various levels of the matrixed organization
·Develop, prepare, review, and analyze financial information and reporting for Grant Thornton’s service line, industry groups, and NICS organizations
·Perform financial statement variance analysis
·Readily adapt to changing priorities and multiple demands within short timeframes
·Work with several multiple systems to help prepare and analyze management reporting
·Help leverage the seniors in the group
·Acquire understanding of the company’s matrixed organization
·Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion
·Perform other projects as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
·Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience
·Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required.
·Strong attention to detail.
·Advanced level Excel skills to include macros, pivot tables, etc.
·Microsoft Access skills are a plus
·Good time management skills, i.e. the ability to take on and prioritize several tasks
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·Ability to interact with partners, senior-level executives and upper-level management.
·Results-oriented; takes initiative.
·Ability to adapt to change.
·Willing to work additional hours, when needed
