National Forensic and Valuation Services Coordinator
As our National Forensic and Valuation Services Coordinator, you will play a lead role in supporting the national team of Forensic and Valuation Services professionals and assist with the development and execution of our business plan, including ongoing strategic initiatives, knowledge sharing activities, and activities to improve and support our national practice.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded, performer with strong communication, organization and analytical abilities. You should be an independent, solution-oriented performer who is skilled and experienced using data to drive strategy and actionable recommendations.
Position Summary: The National Forensic and Valuation Services Coordinator will report directly the National Senior Manager in Forensic and Valuation Services and indirectly to the National Managing Partner of Forensic and Valuation Services. The objective of this position is to provide a dedicated resource to leverage administrative and strategic activities for the national practice. The National Forensic and Valuation Services Coordinator will assist with standardizing communications to the practice, increasing knowledge sharing amongst offices, collecting and disseminating information to our professionals, performing administrative tasks for the national team, and performing strategic and tactical activities in support of our business plan.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
* Act as a primary liaison for all national activities in support of the business plan
* Assist with the development of policies and procedures, training and other materials for the national practice
* Extract data from multiple sources using Excel or other methods and perform analysis to support key business initiatives
* Under general direction collect, maintain and share information related to our practice and from our professionals
* Establish and maintain accurate records on our thought leadership and activities within the practice
* Ensure timely exchange of data from our practitioners and national team through our intranet site and other communication methods
* Conduct research and analytical studies on our strategic targets and strategic initiatives
* Plan, research, write, edit and coordinate communications to be distributed to our practice
* Perform both complex and routine administrative work needed to support the execution of our business plan
* Track and report the status and outcome of all assigned activities including details, critical timeframes, accomplishments
* Update and maintain templates, tools and processes for communicating, documenting, tracking and reporting project
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business or Communications * Minimum of three years of experience in business consulting or legal environments; preferably in professional services. * Organization skills: Candidate must demonstrate the ability to organize, categorize and index large amounts of documents. * Critical thinking: Candidate must demonstrate the ability to review a document, understand the document, and interpret the document A general understanding of business documents, or development documents * Strong verbal communication: Candidate must demonstrate ability to clearly communicate verbally. * Candidate to interact with client personnel and verbal communication skills are critical * Strong writing skills: Candidate must demonstrate ability to clearly communicate through writing. * Time management: Candidate must demonstrate ability to manage time, multi-task and meet deadlines. . * Teamwork: Candidate must demonstrate experience in working as a productive member of a team. * Professional presence: Candidate will be interacting with clients frequently and must conduct themselves in an acceptable professional manner as a representative of Grant Thornton. * Prior experience with Excel and Access databases and knowledge of consulting and legal environments are a plus.
