General Description:
As the national marketing leader for the Business Advisory Services practice and member of the overall Advisory Services marketing team, this position develops and implements the strategic go-to-market plans and marketing programs that create opportunities for Grant Thornton partners and managers to win new business with prospects and to expand the firm’s brand awareness.

The person in this position works with firm leaders to understand business objectives, creates marketing strategies to achieve business goals, and leverages the capabilities across the marketing organization and external vendors as needed to execute programs.

Responsibilities:

• Orchestrate buyer-focused, issue-driven marketing programs that position relevant firm services, with an emphasis on business consulting, risk management and attestation services.

• Develop plans and implement marketing programs to promote awareness of the BAS services externally and internally and create opportunities that lead to new business generation.

• Produce – through marketing organization and/or external vendors -- timely, well-packaged, highly engaging, differentiated messaging, thought leadership and content for Grant Thornton solutions, positioning them within their competitive context and connecting them to the firm’s global brand.

• Direct programs and content through all internal and external channels through successful collaboration across the firm’s marketing and sales organization.

• Build buyer communities through sponsorships and proprietary events, both physical and digital, and create an audience looking to Grant Thornton as a facilitator of critical issues and relevant voice in the dialogue.

• Provide strategic marketing advice to business leaders with accountability to designated service/buyer group leaders

• Develop measurable, accountable, and ROI-driven lead generation programs in collaboration with marketing and sales colleagues in regional, industry and other service roles.

• Help develop and manage as appropriate external relationships to drive business and execute programs, whether pertains to strategic alliances, priority sponsorships, or external vendors.

• Develop expertise in BAS-related service offerings with a strong understanding of consulting buyers and the issues that are most prevalent to clients and prospects.

Qualifications

Requirements:

* Relevant BA degree required.
* 8+ years of relevant marketing experience
* Comfortable working independently. Self-starter.
* Communicates well with all levels of management. Comfortable coaching and advising partners and managers
* Strong interest in, and ability to articulate, business issues and trends and ability
* Possesses analytical skills and clear and persuasive business writing skills.
* Pays strong attention to details and exercises effective project management skills
* Demonstrates resourcefulness in leveraging budget, time and personnel
* Takes pride in excellence of performance. Establishes high standard of marketing professionalism.
* High energy, solutions-minded individual – a problem solver -- with enthusiastic and proactive attitude
* Expertise and/or experience working in software marketing and/or the marketing of consulting services is a plus
* Experience working in a partnership or matrix management environment preferred
