Position Summary:
The National Financial Services Marketing Associate will support the National FS Marketing team and assist with the execution of all marketing plans and programs that create opportunities for partners, directors and business developers to acquire new financial services clients and expand business with existing clients. Key objectives include implementing marketing campaigns, tracking ROI and budgets, monitoring industry trends and maintaining CRM and pipeline databases while promoting awareness of Grant Thornton, our services and professionals among national target audiences and referral sources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Conducts secondary market research using a variety of databases

· Ability to analyse marketing trends and competitive analysis information and assemble this information into presentation-ready packets

· Manages CRM database

· Implements marketing programs to support strategic plans of the firm and its niches, as requested by senior Marketing management

· Has a strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and is able to take ownership for developing presentations, making sure to edit for font/format consistency

· Administers and handles all billing and budgetary work, including working with FS National Marketing Leader and internal accounting to reconcile billing, according to budget guidelines

· Supports managerial staff in attending FS segment meetings and executing on marketing communications items that arise within these meetings, taking on ownership of marketing liaison role, as needed

· Works with senior staff to learn basics of collateral production, vendor management, conference/events planning, business development, electronic communications, and advertising and assists in administering tasks associated with these initiatives

· Works with senior staff to develop and execute web-based campaigns to expand awareness and align resources for new business including e-mail marketing campaigns, complete with list development and tracking components

· Assists with management and execution of all elements of conferences and events including venue selection, theme creation, vendor relationships, collateral production, invitations, promotional items, and press coverage, if warranted

· Sets up tracking programs for various initiatives and reports on progress of each

· Establishes relationships with vendors and handles the fulfilment of production and item orders

Required Skills and Experience

· Requires a bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, English or Advertising

· Has a strong foundation in the fundamentals of marketing writing

· Strong knowledge of MS office

· 2-5 years of work experience in Professional Services, financial services and/or accounting fields preferred
