Business Intelligence Developer
Job Responsibilities
· Participate in the analysis, design and development of the business intelligence universe and reports for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other BI initiatives
· Contribute to the architectural planning, data modeling, process flow documentation and the design and development of BI solutions
· Collaborate with both technical staff and business partners such as Finance, HR to understand and translate their business intelligence/reporting business requirements into technical solutions
· Perform detailed system analysis and design functions and create the technical designs and documentation
· Work hand-on and in depth with Business Objects Designer product in order to design Universes from ground up against dimensional and relational schemas.
· Create and support complex reports in Business Objects (Web Intelligence and Crystal) environment.
· Perform unit and system test/validation tasks
· Support the QA team and/or End Users during QA Testing and User Acceptance Testing
· Maintain technical and user documentation
· Administrator Business Objects environment to maintain folder, users and security groups
· Participate in the Install, Upgrade and administration of the Business Objects technical environment
· Develop procedures for Tuning and system performance, usage reporting and best practices to maintain stability of the BOE environments
· Work on the daily production support tasks and the ongoing maintenance activities to support the Enterprise Data Warehouse Reporting environment
· Proven individual contributor and team player with excellent communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
*
7-10 or more years of overall IT experience in software development with demonstrated evidence of increasing growth and responsibility.
*
3-5 years of significant development experience within Business Objects XI R2/R3 with hands-on development experience in Universe and report development in a Data Mart of Data Warehouse environment
*
Ability to understand Business and Functional requirements and translate them into a Universes and reports.
*
2-4 years of experience in installing, configuring and administering BO XI environment on Windows platform
*
Experience in performance monitoring and tuning of the environments to ensure smooth operation and maintain constant uptime
*
Experience in various Business Objects Applications like Web Intelligence, Info View, Desktop Intelligence, Designer, Crystal Reports, CMC (Central Management Console), Publisher, CCM (Central Configuration Manager), LCM, Apache Tomcat, Import Wizard, Security Viewer, Crystal Xcelsius
*
Strong understanding of BOE architecture and security including clustering and load balancing
*
Experience with configuring and implementing Single Sign On and Kerberos authentication in Windows Active Directory environment
*
Experience in Microsoft Analysis Services (Cubes), Dashboards, OLAPi, a plus
*
1-2 yrs. of strong SQL Server 2005/2008 experience desired
*
Knowledge of BI methodologies, Data Marts, Data Warehousing, OLAP tools and techniques required
*
Previous experience in the Professional Services or Accounting industry a plus.

Previous client service or consultative experience in technology a plus
*
Thorough understanding of systems implementation methodology best practices.
*
