Grant Thornton’s tax specialists complement our clients’ accounting teams while maintaining their auditors’ independence with our compliance services and customized tax planning advice. We have capabilities to advise our clients on various tax strategies including federal tax services, state and local tax services, international tax services, industry tax services, family wealth planning, and compensation and benefit plan design as well as consulting on other complex tax matters.
Tax Manager – Compensation & Benefits Consulting – Tax at International Accounting Firm Position Summary: Grant Thornton LLP is seeking a Tax Manager Compensation and Benefits Consulting for our CBC practice within an International Accounting Firm. This Manager will focus on assisting our tax professionals and clients with a variety of employee benefits related issues, including those arising from recent legislation and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Address, research, and consult on complex technical issues specific to employee benefits and prepare related written communications.
* Facilitate and participate in firm-wide training and communications relating to compensation and benefits consulting matters.
* Monitor technical developments and write articles for publication in the firm's "Hot Topics" newsletter.
* Provide thought leadership in the business and tax community.
* Work closely with partners, managers, and staff in an integrated approach to client service and new business development.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in a related subject area. * Minimum of four years of experience in employee benefits and / or compensation. * Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment. * Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.

* Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel upon occasion.
