AUDIT ASSOCIATE
JOB DESCRIPTION The Audit Associate is primarily responsible for performing audit procedures in the areas of cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payrolls, and expense analyses. The associate will also review and audit business transaction cycles, including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses; research audit issues utilizing electronic data bases; review and track financial information utilizing audit-related software; and execute other projects as assigned.
Procedures may range from a single step in the audit program or a complete section of the balance sheet to the responsibility for a division or a branch of the client. Specifically, the associate is expected to inform the senior staff promptly of problems encountered, provide explanations and research audit issues, provide on the job training to less experienced staff, and maintain a good working relationship with the client. The associate will work closely with staff, managers, and partners on all phases of the project.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, a major and overall minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0, and have the 150 hours of education necessary to qualify for sitting for the CPA exam if required in the state where the position will be located. The willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites are also required. We prefer excellent communication skills, outstanding analytical skills, an ability to handle multiple priorities and simultaneous projects, strong computer skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
