Primary Responsibilities: Lead a team of practitioners as the team maintains and improves clients TBM cost transparency model; works with data providers to mature data used by the TBM model; and collaborates with stakeholders to integrate TBM into organizational processes.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to help manage and improve clients TBM implementation in Apptio
Provide timely, accurate management, analysis, reporting and communication of Information Technology business results
Requires the following experience:
Experience in coordinating, facilitating and managing annual business planning across technology operations in conjunction with senior leaders, application managers, infrastructure business services managers
Experience in IT inventory and expense management, vendor management, cost allocation, and Technology Business Management (TBM)
Experience in linking IT and finance data elements and gathering necessary IT operations data needed to allocate infrastructure costs to products and services
Experience in reporting and visualization development (requirements gathering, development, design, update via feedback) for IT and business unit stakeholders.
Experience in IT service management, IT operations, and IT financial management concepts
Experience facilitating discussions with financial management, IT operations, and business unit leadership personnel.
Experience in cost management allocation concepts, specifically IT allocation methodologies and their alternatives (e.g. the various ways to assign physical server costs to applications & services)
Three to four years’ experience in IT operations and IT finance
Knowledge of TBM tools (Apptio) is required
Knowledge of other costing tools, and IT service management tools is a plus
Secondary Responsibilities: Advanced analytical and big data analysis skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff across the organization
Understanding and experience with cost management, cost allocation, and managerial costing
Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development
Knowledge of IT services and financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/infrastructure support
Strong leadership and organizational skills - capable of motivating and managing organizations or teams to deliver desired results
Strong ITIL or Service Management background

Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.

Qualifications

Required Capabilities: TBM/Costing, IT Costing, Cost and Performance Management, Data Analytics, Technology Business Management, Technology Strategy
Required Skills: Public Sector - Technology Business Management (TBM)

Required Certifications: Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME)

Bachelor's degree in related field
Advanced degree in related field preferred
Advanced knowledge of Apptio is required
Technology Business Management (TBM) experience essential
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial modeling and analysis
Broad experience in the public sector finance and/or IT domains is preferred
Strong to expert skills in data transformation
Knowledge and application of relational database concepts

Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Coach and mentor junior staff members.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
