Grant Thornton is seeking a Manager to join its Operations Transformation service line and support the project team with end-to-end acquisition lifecycle support services to government clients and program areas.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff develops work products, such as acquisition plans, market surveys and complete solicitations, with emphasis on Sections B, C, L, and M, and source selection plans. As part of our team, the Manager will work with the contracting officer and other stakeholders to develop and execute acquisition strategies and methods. This individual will also provide best practices and acquisition policy guidance, procurement support, business process improvements, financial analyses and business case analyses support during the acquisition lifecycle. The Manager should be knowledgeable in strategic sourcing, cost analysis, managed competition, public-private competition, make-buy analysis, outsourcing, privatization, organizational development, Most Efficient Organization (MEO), value chain analysis and FAIR Act requirements


Support and lead engagement teams performing acquisition support and planning services.
Prepare and review contract deliverables for submission to client.
Provide guidance to engagement teams and junior staff.
Maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff to perform engagement services.
Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.


Secret Clearance Required
CFCM and CPCM are preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
