At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

Work with manager to deliver across all aspects of the engagement
Work with data owners to identify and analyze key data sets to ensure data is accurate, useful, and received in a timely manner
In coordination with engagement team and client personnel, deliver project tasks and deliverables
Work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff across the organization to ensure engagement objectives are being met
Import, transform, rationalize, and analyze data from systems of record such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Service Manager, Centralized Application Repository, Asset Manager, etc.
Operationalize data by loading, validating, and reviewing on timely basis.

Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.


Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial modeling and analysis
Strong to expert skills in data transformation using MS Excel or Access
Knowledge and application of relational database concepts
Advanced analytical analysis skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff across the organization
Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development
Knowledge of IT services and financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/infrastructure support
Strong organizational skills
TIL or Service Management background preferred

Technology Business Management (TBM) experience required

Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field. Advanced degree in related field preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
