At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Manager will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

Developed and Produced strategic plans and briefings at federal department or agency level
Develop and evaluate standard business processes for implementation across the IC, including a baseline for detailed projects, tasks, and timelines. The processes shall focus on financial management improvements to allow the client to better execute his fiduciary authorities, such as potential improvements in fiscal compliance, funds control, cash management, and financial reporting, including policies/procedures and training services for IC Components.
Develop for publication financial management policies and procedures for the IC; including standardizing accounting codes and practices, identifying best practices, and establishing a resource reference library. The resource reference library will be
part of the client/CFO share drive and website, which is part of the client's existing intranet.
Recommend improvements in financial management, data integrity, internal controls, tracking, and financial reporting to benefit client and IC Components, including support to facilitate the implementation of the IC Information Technology Enterprise.
Develop functional requirements documents to support the future development, design, and building of financial data translation applications.
Perform functional gap analysis on financial management systems including but not limited to: Momentum, Oracle Financials, Peoplesoft and SAP in order to assess compliance with client Chief Information Officer business enterprise architectures and system migration plans.
Evaluate and assess IC Components' business cases to ensure compliance with ADNI/CFO Enterprise Services Capability Plans.
Cross-walk financial data from various core financial and feeder systems to the Common Government-wide Accounting Classification (CGAC) structure to support business intelligence and analytics.
Develop and evaluate business cases and profiles to support the development, upgrade, and maintenance of financial systems.
Support the client/CFO's interaction with the client Inspector General, the DOD Inspector General, and the IC Component's Inspector General or Independent Public Auditors (IPAs).Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.


Experience in financial management disciplines generating standards, researching practices, producing analysis and issuing policies.
Experience producing executive level strategic plans within a federal department, agency or private sector.

Project Management Professional (PMP)
TS/SCI and CI Poly required
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Coach and mentor junior staff members.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
