Position: Pursuit Center of Excellence - PCOE Senior Associate

As part of the marketing organization, the national proposal center of excellence (theStudio) is shifting to become the Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE). As such, the team is expanding to enable the development and delivery of sales support materials and credentials, enhancing client touch-points throughout the buyer journey. The PCOE is hiring a Senior Associate, who will report to the PCOE leader, and will own the production of custom sales materials in support of Grant Thornton’s pursuit process. The PCOE Senior Associate will own and project manage sales deliverables as well as proposals, and will primarily play a key role as a “closer” finalizing sales deliverables and proposals started by their PCOE team members in Bangalore. With a large number of the PCOE’s team members located in Bangalore, the PCOE Senior Associate will be available during U.S. business hours to finalize deliverables after our Bangalore colleagues work day has ended. This individual will be required to work west coast hours, enabling the PCOE team to offer coverage for pursuit related needs during all U.S. working business hours.

While the position will have a heavy focus on finalizing pursuit deliverables begun by the Bangalore team, the PCOE Senior Associate will also own and manage their own sales material and proposal deliverables, and assist with content projects as well. It is important the PCOE Senior Associate has the skillset and eagerness to flex across all areas of the PCOE (pre-proposal deliverables, proposal deliverables and content creation).

Duties and Responsibilities

The PCOE Senior Associate will be responsible for developing winning sales documents through strategic messaging, content writing, research and project management.

Sales Credentials and Proposal Strategy – With limited supervision or guidance from the team manager, identify winning strategies by understanding the buyer’s needs, challenge the status quo and create sales deliverables (and proposals) that are customized and tailored to the target audience.
Customer service – Help the PCOE win over stakeholders and build a great reputation by delivering superior customer service to stakeholders (deliver highly responsive communication, attention to detail, follow-through).
Accountability – Overall responsibility for transforming the technical and business insights of client teams into clear, compelling, winning sales documents and proposal content. Ensure internal and external deadlines are met. Lead by example.
Innovation and Creativity – Develop innovative and creative techniques to increase our likelihood of winning pursuits. Play an active role in socializing and indoctrinating best practices across the team.
Communication – Participate and play an active role in regular meetings to share best practices, information, problem solving, etc. with other team members.
Collaboration and Respect – Work in concert with team peers in the Bangalore sales materials team, as well as theStudio and the PCOE content team, located in the U.S. and Bangalore.
Tracking – Comply and help promote the use of a database to track all sales materials related information required to develop weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. Ensure data is accurate and updated real-time.
Conflict Resolution – Engage with stakeholders to resolve any conflicts and needs that might arise, in a highly collaborative, timely and respectful manner. Escalate issues to team leadership when needed.
Branding – Elevate the PCOE’s reputation and strengthen its brand by team building, demonstrating strategic sales acumen, resolving issues as they arise, communicating positively and professionally, and creating best practices to increase the win rate.



Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism or related field preferred
7+ years of sales materials and proposal experience preferred (professional services ideal)
Understanding of the pursuit / sales cycle and sales enablement content
Sound skill with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher)
Knowledge of Qvidian a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident in producing work across multiple platforms
Collaborative and respectful, particularly in working globally with an outsourced model
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Self-motivated and self-directed
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Creative thinker
