ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Support the Office of Technical Integration within the client as a Health IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Systems of Systems approach to delivering health data through middleware (e.g.,VDIF). The approach will provide the technical definition, activities, and resource planning necessary to execute technical requirements, to enforce technical and functional requirements, and to identify the need for, and ensure execution of, interface agreements, Memorandum of Understandings and Interconnection Security Agreements.
The Health IT SME establishes strategic direction, policies, and procedures for the organization's informatics and information systems.
Guides the selection, development, and/or implementation of highly complex, technical systems designed to effectively manage clinical information, data and clinical systems in the healthcare or other specialized fields.

Coordinates between IT and clinical staff in order to ensure effective integration of complex systems with other institutional applications.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Provide strategic and tactical guidance across healthcare accounts.

Identifies and develops innovative solutions for the healthcare industry.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Leads and directs the work of others.

Provide regular updates and work products to stakeholders, manager, and leadership on project status.

Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Min 5 yrs exp is req'd.
Exp designing/developing new software products/major enhancements to existing software for HC/clinical environment; performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to mgmt
Become highest-level tech expert; address problems of systems integration/compatibility/HC semantics/informatics/multiple platforms
Preferred- Doctorate in Health IT/related field
Preferred- 10 yrs relevant exp
Preferred- Exp at VA; implementing EHR

U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.

Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
