Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Financial Management service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Experience in timely, accurate management, analysis, reporting and communication of Information Technology business results
Experience in coordinating, facilitating and managing annual business planning across technology operations in conjunction with senior leaders, application managers, infrastructure business services managers
Experience in IT inventory and expense management, vendor management, cost allocation, and Technology Business Management Office
Experience in linking IT and finance data elements and gathering necessary IT operations data needed to allocate infrastructure costs to products and services
Experience in reporting and visualization development (requirements gathering, development, design, update via feedback) for IT and business unit stakeholders
Experience in IT service management, IT operations and IT financial management concepts
Experience facilitating discussions with financial management, IT operations, and business unit leadership personnel
Experience in cost management allocation concepts, specifically IT allocation methodologies and their alternatives (e.g. the various ways to assign physical server costs to applications & services)
Three to four years’ experience in IT operations and IT finance
Knowledge of TBM tools, costing tools, and IT service management tools (in that order) is a plus
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

TS/SCI and CI Polygraph required
Advanced analytical and big data analysis skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff
across the organization
Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/
communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development
Knowledge of IT services and financial management processes and best practices such as
budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/infrastructure support
Strong leadership and organizational skills - capable of motivating and managing
organizations or teams to deliver desired results
Strong ITIL or Service Management background
Advanced degree in related field preferred
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial modeling and analysis
Requires broad experience in the financial services industry
Strong to expert skills in data transformation using MS Excel or Access
Knowledge and application of relational database concepts
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or a related field required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
