ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Accountant shall be responsible for providing independent and objective consulting services in support of the Government's audit compliance plan. These services include activities related to: assessment of financial processes, remediation of issues identified, evaluations of remediation activities, mock audits, as well as accounting, finance, and liaison support.
The Accountant serves as a knowledgeable consultant supporting the improvement of management performance and accountability as well as in the design and implementation of program/project governance and controls.

Ensures the right balance of controls that are implemented to avoid constraining the organization design/workforce planning of a related functional business field.

Prepares and delivers briefings, leads discussions, documents processes, assesses and improves processes, and supports the implementation of corrective action plans.

Develops analytical models and complex spreadsheets to analyze financial or operating data.
Prepares and presents team and deliverable status reports in project meetings. Responsibilities also include collecting data, documenting
work performed, and participating in interviews.
Apply analytical and functional business skills to client and engagement issues.
Contribute to research and design activities.
Address client issues related to process assessment, strategy and change management for process improvement, organizational information, and/or other related areas.
Prepare and present solutions and deliverables.
Provide input to methodology while coordinating analysis with other project personnel.
Prepare and present team and deliverable status reports in project meetings.

Prepare and deliver briefings, lead discussions, and facilitate workshops Plan, conduct and contribute to research and design activities.
Lead and oversee multiple work streams.
Advise on methodology and team structure while coordinating analysis with other project personnel.
Direct completion of projects
Provide primary client interface on strategic issues

Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

TS/SCI and FS Polygraph required

Knowledge of Federal Accounting Operations (Public Sector), Federal Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) (Public Sector)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or a related field required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
