Contribute to the success of building a unified enterprise of integrated and interoperable business processes and technical services.
Work with both technical and business stakeholders to understand Portfolio business functions, and get familiar with Portfolio architecture requirements.
Develop and setting process and deliverable and architecture standards
Directing a team of system analysts to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program and other EA-related programs by finding, creating, providing operational and system architecture views to product lines
Architecture oversight responsibilities include Cerner and support to other VA system implementations and system analysis in support of any client Health IT Computing Environment (HITCE) integration requirements
Work with senior stakeholders, IT System Owners, and Segment Architects to advise on stream priorities and is responsible for the quality and timeliness of his/her deliverables (i.e., ICD, OV-1, SV-1).
Provide expert technical architecture guidance for the development of artifacts (i.e., ICD, OV-1, SV-1).
Leverage Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework (e.g. DoDAF) and client design principles to govern the architecture structure and its components.
Define processes for monitoring, measuring, and reporting acceptable levels of portfolio architecture developments (completeness, validity, consistency, timeliness, and accuracy).
Support Portfolio and Product Managers to collect team status, produce reports on architecture development, and implementation progress, issues and risks.
Recommend opportunities for improvement and/or process enhancements to eliminate and reduce probability of architecture quality issues.
Identify opportunities for training, automation, tools, and process reengineering
Optimize architecture development efforts through the implementation of industry standards, best practices and leading research materials.
Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.

8 yrs Enterprise Architecture exp reqd
5 yrs exp in: Enterprise Architecture frameworks, Open Industry frameworks (DoDAF/FEAF/TOGAF/ITIL/COBIT) and EA tools (IBM Rational Architect/Informatica/Ab Initio/ABACUS); System integration/application architecture/solutions architecture; SDLC and understand process used by the software industry to design/develop/test high quality software
Ability to draw system architecture/network topology/application interface/data flow/process flow
Public Trust
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Coach and mentor junior staff members.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
