Enterprise Architect – Cloud

Level: Senior Associate


The Enterprise Cloud Architect will play a strategic role in shaping the company’s cloud architecture to meet business strategy and goals.

The Enterprise Cloud Architect will collaborate with other Enterprise Architects, application portfolio leads/analyst, operations, security, project managers, and business stakeholders to help determine solutions based on business requirements and consult on their implementation.

This position is a member of Enterprise Architecture team within the Technology and Transformation organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Support the development, maintenance and evangelization of cloud architecture strategy through the development of reference architecture, standards and best practices
Lead, coordinate, and support strategic efforts designed by Enterprise Architecture to help the organization realize its cloud architecture strategy
Create, maintain, and govern technical architecture depicting the Business and IT landscape in its current, transitional, and future state.
Provide technical consultation for technology and data solutions based on business needs; oversee architectural aspects of business solution development/deployment.
Work with external vendors, consulting partners, etc. to research emerging technologies and industry trends to define strategy for their applicability in alignment with strategic business direction.
Interact and communicate effectively with Security, Operations, Information Governance, RRLA, Finance, P&C and technology senior and middle management executives as well as end user and business subject matter experts
Perform process mapping of current processes in order to improve and automate business processes within Enterprise Architecture and the firm as a whole


Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science or information systems (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years of overall experience in business IT technology
Demonstrated ability to acquire new skills and apply knowledge across technical disciplines
Experience leading, coordinating, and supporting strategic efforts resulting in strategic gains
Experience working with application teams, vendors or service providers
Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, SAFe), and design/architecture aspects of project delivery
Knowledge of cloud services/platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and current computing trends.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners and a desire to share knowledge with the team.
Ability to maintain strategic perspective, understanding the big picture and maintaining patience and persistence to achieve long-term goals and objectives.
Strong organizational and presentation skills; must show experience with documenting and presenting technology strategy and experience in a strategic and consultative technical role.
