At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

Liaise with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, elaborate, communicate, refine, and validate business requirements related to reports and dashboards
Design report and dashboard mock-ups and prototypes, and facilitate review and elaboration sessions with clients to select optimal reporting approaches
Research client business processes and proactively anticipate and research future reporting needs and solutions
Develop a deep understanding of the COTS software product and data architecture; be an effective broker of discussions with stakeholders to help the client understand the business context of report data
Design and execute basic SQL queries to validate report calculations and metrics
Ensure that adequate test data is created and available for specific report testing needs
Analyze planned and implemented system changes to anticipate potential required changes to existing reports and dashboards
Provide QA/test support for report development efforts
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.


At least 3 years of experience in reporting/analytics, requirements analysis, or business consulting
Experience analyzing business processes and developing business requirements/user stories
Experience presenting completed work to customers
Basic knowledge of SQL- Desired
Experience using data visualization and reporting tools - Desired
Agile software development experience - Desired
Federal government and/or healthcare IT consulting experience- Desired
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
