Grant Thornton LLP has multiple openings for the position of Manager – Digital Transformation and Management in Charlotte, NC. This position entails travel up to 80% of the time. S/he will perform project management responsibilities for the Digital Transformation and Management Advisory practice, including performance reviews, task delegation (assign duties, responsibilities to project personnel), project scheduling, project financials, quality review, and client management. More specifically, s/he will develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing, serving as an integral part of the digital transformation team to develop capabilities surrounding cloud, transformation, digital process, innovation, social, mobile, analytics, and IoT. S/he will manage business development activities such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material. S/he will manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope, meaning s/he will meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work as well as meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization). S/he will maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff to gather information and perform services. S/he will assess current or future customer needs and priorities by communicating directly with the client and communicating internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives. S/he will confer with project personnel, such as Grant Thornton managers and partners, to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues. S/he will manage, develop, train, coach, and mentor staff on projects. S/he will monitor the performance of the project team members, provide and document performance feedback as well as assess performance for the engagement and year-end project reviews. S/he will motivate others to perform at maximum efficiency without sacrificing quality of services delivered. S/he will coordinate recruitment and selection of project personnel by conducting interviewing candidates of various experience levels.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

The position of Manager - Digital Transformation and Management requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field plus six years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related consulting technical/analytical position. Additionally, the applicant must have: (1) 4 years of professional experience executing and overseeing multiple IT projects, industry-leading, large, cross-functional teams and/or enterprise wide programs, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts, and at a senior leadership level; (2) 5 years of professional experience assessing IT systems capabilities related to data interoperability, both internally and externally, and making recommendations for system solutions; (3) 5 years of professional experience providing advisory and implementation recommendations on the strategy and integration of IT systems (Legacy Systems, 3rd Party Software, Cloud, and SaaS) at the functional, business process and data layers; (4) 3 years of professional experience leading IT system strategy, selection, and rationalization projects involving requirements definition, vendor qualification, vendor demonstrations, proposal review and final selection of key business applications (ERP, EAM, and CRM); (5) 5 years of professional experience, designing, assessing and optimizing IT and enterprise architecture, leveraging frameworks and tools to drive value; (6) 3 years of supporting client teams through the assessment, policy development, standards, guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation of the Capital Management and Resource effectiveness, Investment / Value Prop / time to Value, Internal (Business) Partner Solution Alignment, Change Management - Aligning Culture to Solutions, IT People Strategy: Skilling / training / retooling/ right sizing & redeployment Strategy, and IT Leadership Succession Planning; (7) 5 years of IT strategy and transformation experience including developing and executing effective IT visions, strategies and roadmaps; (8) 3 years of experience conducting deep dive technical and data analytic capabilities assessments, designing future state design, developing roadmaps, defining KPIs, and implementing projects using advanced analytical skills including Big Data technology (AWS or Microsoft), Regression based Analytics and Machine Learning technologies and communicate complex analytical processes into easily digestible information for both technical and non-technical audience; and (9) 3 years of professional experience managing enterprise data analytics initiatives including the management of the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business intelligence tools, data models, dynamic visualization and reporting solutions, dashboards and technical thought leadership, and coaching and mentorship.
