The People & Culture (P&C) Compensation Manager is responsible for designing, managing and administering employee compensation programs and processes across all lines of business. The individual in this position will be a creative, innovative individual who can lead the continuous development, implementation and on-going administration of the Firm’s Employee compensation strategy. The P&C Compensation Manager will be expected to have a progressive approach to compensation strategy and processes and be able to align concepts and ideas to our business strategy. This role will be the key resource in conducting a wide variety of business-aligned compensation analytics, compensation surveys, operational objectives and work plans. The P&C Compensation Manager will report directly to the P&C Director of Compensation. This individual will have the ability to design, execute, test, refine and manage a process in a collaborative fashion with a group of cross-functional stakeholders both within the P&C community and the business on an ongoing basis and function as the subject matter expert across a geographically dispersed population.

Core Responsibilities of the Compensation Manager:

Design, implementation and administration of a compensation program that includes salary, bonus, and commissions including day-to-day management of these programs.
Participation in the analysis of market survey data and area differentials, total rewards, recognition, supplemental pay programs, linkage to both firm and individual performance.
Administering salary and performance appraisal application programs including programming updates for each cycle, application testing and proposing application enhancements.
Conducts market pricing activities like job matching, data analytics, compensation practices and trends.
Advanced understanding of market data methodology and compensation principles and applies analytical judgment in preparing results and identifying potential trends.
Partner with HRBP’s and business leaders on job matching and responding to specific compensation related questions, analysis and audits.
Acts as SME and point of contact on market data priorities for the business.
When delivering market data to HR leaders and partners, consults with the recipient of the data to help them understand the data and how to apply it to their business need.
Consolidates, interprets and presents data analysis for HR and business management on a variety of compensation related topics.
Involved in assessments of new tools to support compensation initiatives.
Oversee and update all compensation- related communications and materials and ensuring knowledge sites are current and accurate.
Own/participate in projects that have a direct impact on the compensation team.
Engage stakeholders at all levels, seeks input from all relevant sources, communicates project information and updates to all stakeholders.

Confident and strong personal initiative as someone who is willing to get out in the field, roll up their sleeves, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Operationally focused with ability to think strategically and deliver tactically.
Metrics-focused with ability and history of using analytics to solve problems and develop solutions.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
BA/BS degree in human resources, finance, economics, mathematics or other business related areas.
7 or more years of broad-based compensation program design, implementation and administration.
Demonstrated experience with compensation principles and concepts, compensation analysis and consulting, including job matching, market pricing, compensation plan/structure design, job evaluation and grading.
Demonstrated experience with an established compensation survey company highly preferred.
Strong client handling skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
A reputation for discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, strong attention to detail and common sense.
Attention to detail and quality with high personal work ethic.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
Advanced Excel skills with ability to quickly create and modify complex reports and spreadsheets.
Strong technology aptitude to identify and perform root case analysis to ensure accuracy of data feeds and programming of application and reporting.
CCP certification is preferred.
Lawson experience is preferred.
Experience working in compensation in professional services preferred.
Ability to travel on occasion to meet business needs
