Position: Pursuit Center of Excellence Content Senior Associate

As part of the marketing organization, the national proposal center of excellence (theStudio) is expanding to become the Pursuit Center of Excellence (COE). As such, the content team is expanding to enable the development and delivery of all sales content and tools, enhancing client touch-points throughout the sales cycle. The Pursuit COE is hiring three content senior associates, who will report to the pursuit COE content leader, and will be responsible for developing pursuit assets, including value propositions, differentiators, proposal language, capability presentations, case studies, quotes, infographics, brochures and more across Grant Thornton’s services and industries. These positions will also enhance existing pursuit assets. Pursuit assets will be customized by theStudio and the pre-proposal materials team for client delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pursuit COE team in the early stages of expansion/development, and help shape this resource center into a world-class, highly valued function within Grant Thornton, building upon the remarkable success of the Studio.

Location: Any major market, ideally Chicago. Remote/telecommute available, but must be located within an hour driving distance of a Grant Thornton office.

Pursuit COE content senior associate responsibilities include:
Content Creation - create concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy. Research and organize facts and sources to support content messaging. Craft value propositions and differentiators that resonate with the target market.
Collaboration – Work in partnership with content peers, design, proposal writers, Bangalore colleagues, the pursuit execution team, broader marketing and sales team, and others. Participate and play an active role in regular meetings to share best practices, information, problem solving, etc., with other team members.
Project Management – Own content projects by creating timelines/responsibility assignments and driving continuous communication with internal stakeholders and SMEs. Identify and remove barriers of progress, escalating issues as needed to the pursuit COE content leader.
Innovation and Creativity – Develop innovative and creative content to convey messaging in a concise, compelling manner (visuals, infographics, digital presentations/videos/interactive PPs and PDFs) to increase our likelihood of driving results along the sales cycle.
Knowledge Management – Comply and use content repositories to tag and store content, enabling real-time ease of access for colleagues.
Training and sharing best practices – Serve as a training resource and brand ambassador sharing content approaches and learnings from the pursuit process. Actively share best practices.
Service desk responsiveness – support the execution arm of the pursuit COE team by responding to queries for content through a service desk model, with a sense of urgency and speed.

Qualifications

Requirements/Preferred Technical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism or related field preferred
3+ years of experience writing for the accounting/consulting industry (ideal) or a large agency or corporation
Understanding of the pursuit / sales cycle and sales enablement content
Sound skill with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Knowledge of Qvidian a plus, but not required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent grasp of English language
Creative and innovative thinker and planner
Confident in producing work across multiple platforms
Able to align multiple brand strategies and ideas
Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Self-motivated and self-directed
Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
