ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
A SQL/DB Test Manager must lead and execute all test events (and develop test plans, test scripts, test data, test cases etc.) to manage multiple concurrent build testing in Agile Software Development Lifecycle environment.
Leverage an Agile approach that supports incremental development of high quality, fully-tested components, delivered every 2 weeks.
Scrum team for this role includes development of a data warehouse / user interface that will store reporting data to include SQL Server and Power BI technologies
SQL Programming to analyze and validate Source Data vs Target data
Collaborate with the team/stakeholders in reviewing business requirement document(s) as input into the creation of testing materials
Must have thorough analytical skills in identifying root cause of issues.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to coordinate and plan test events.
Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Conduct walkthroughs with internal and external teams.
Produce testing artifacts such as test cases, test scripts, test data, defect resolution plans, defect reports and test results summaries
Conduct test case peer reviews to ensure test cases/scripts accurately capture functionality identified in user acceptance criteria
Generate Excel output of Data Validation results with Expected and Actual results
Work directly with members (Requirement Analysts, Developers, and Project Manager) of the project to deliver a quality product to the customer
Maintain traceability between the base-lined business requirements, functional specs / use cases and test scenarios/cases.
Coordinate between developers and business analyst to ensure testing incidents are addressed when needed.
Work independently with minimal assistance and be able to pick up business knowledge quickly.
Create manual and automated scripts for regression testing, as needed.
Create and lead on all test plans, monitor and update bug reports as needed including bug report closure.
Utilize necessary hardware and operating environments (with test data) as needed to complete assigned testing.
Ability to learn how to use Rational to manage test artifacts and defects.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Automated testing software experience
Scripting languages such as VB Script, VBA
Healthcare or Veterans Affairs experience
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of testing experience, Bachelor's in technical discipline
Data validation for Data Migration/ Data Integration projects using SQL queries/ Manual testing
Experience writing efficient queries to extract data from large data sets
Proven proficiency with understanding Data Models, tables & writing complex SQL queries
Experience developing and documenting processes, procedures, and policies for tool usage and integration
Healthcare or Veterans Affairs experience (preferred)
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
