ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Azure Cloud Architect / Technical Lead will work closely with the assigned development team to provide oversight in developing, testing, and delivering software solutions for VA IT Azure Cloud solutions.
Leverage an Agile approach that supports incremental development of high quality, fully-tested components, delivered every 2 weeks.
Scrum team for this role includes development of a data warehouse / user interface that will store reporting data to include SQL Server and Power BI technologies.
Experience with languages such as Terraform, Java, Microsoft .Net, NodeJS
Experience with Source management workflow and platforms such as Microsoft TFS, Git, or Bitbucket
Experience with AWS cloud platform (IaaS and PaaS)
Provide technical oversight for a complex business intelligence platform in the Microsoft Azure cloud
Participate in internal and customer meetings assisting with architecture and implementation of technology supporting business requirements
Implement processes to ensure consistently high-quality technology product delivery
Assist leadership with the ongoing development of policies and procedures for the purpose of consistent product delivery
Rapidly prototype new solutions in collaboration with team members
Help grow the technology practice while providing mentor-ship and guidance to the project team
Lead with development documentation, solutioning, and design as required by the scrum teams
Strong understanding of development and testing processes
Experience with version control management platforms like GIT and experience with source control flows.
Knowledge of DevOps methods, CI/CD automation practices
Good understanding of and experience with Agile practices
Strong hands on development skills to prototype and develop technical solutions and products.
Good verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated experience communicating technical solutions and concepts to non-technical business customers
Ability to participate in, large, agile developments teams
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrable, hands-on VA information technology experience
Experience with deployment and configuration management automation
Familiarity with systems administration in a Windows environment
Strong understanding infrastructure management and configuration automation
Microsoft Azure certification
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

Skills and Certifications:10+ years demonstrated technology leadership
Masters Degree in engineering or related scientific/technical discipline
Experience with languages such as Terraform, Java, Microsoft .Net, NodeJS
Experience source management workflow and platforms such as Microsoft TFS, Git, or Bitbucket
Experience with AWS cloud platform (IaaS and PaaS)
Healthcare or VA experience (preferred)
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
