Executive Assistant

Position Summary:

Grant Thornton’s core business is audit, tax and advisory services. In short, we strive for a keen understanding of the client’s business in order to provide insightful and sound operational advice, recommend process improvement strategies, and offer suggestions to manage risk. Our professionals are thought leaders, providing personalized attention and quality service to our clients.

The Executive Assistant provides administrative support for management, office services and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand the firm’s service lines, industries and client engagement structure in order to work effectively with all levels of employees and clients.
Communicate effectively and professionally with client personnel and client service personnel. Understand and anticipate customer service needs and administrative needs in order to deliver high quality service and results.
Provide general administrative support and office services.
Use Microsoft Office Suite extensively to prepare professional documents including letters, memos, reports, proposals, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Plan, coordinate and set up meetings, special events, teleconferences, and video conferences.
Manage client files and work on client deliverables.
Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare itineraries.
Maintain electronic calendars in Microsoft Outlook.
Approach role with flexibility for additional projects and duties as assigned.


High school degree required. College preferred.
Three to seven years of administrative support experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
Advanced skill level with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
Treats sensitive or confidential information with appropriate discretion.
Ability to take initiative and results-oriented.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Moderate level accounting or financial knowledge beneficial.
