JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a forward-thinking Innovation Delivery Analyst to join the Innovation Delivery Team within Grant Thornton’s enterprise innovation initiative. In this important role, you will work directly with the Innovation Delivery Manager to help plan and manage product features through the product development process in support of the overall Grant Thornton and Innovation strategy. This role will serve as an advocate and champion of Agile throughout the organization.

Working with Product Owners and stakeholders from across Grant Thornton’s Tax, Audit, and Advisory service line and market teams, you will collaborate with all levels of the organizations. You will also work directly with third-party software developers and cloud service providers within the Firm’s partner ecosystem.

You will represent the end user by defining all product requirements and communicating those requirements to the technology delivery teams. You will serve as the voice of the customer by managing the priority of those requirements to ensure that the highest amount of customer value is being delivered in the fastest time possible. You will utilize data and analytics to analyze service line and stakeholder needs, and prioritize their product backlog appropriately. You will attend all business reviews, supplying product/feature results as necessary, and provide input into business cases to ensure new products/features will drive client value and firm-wide revenue, quality improvement, and market growth.

You will maintain a good working relationship with teammates, clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Elicits, understands and defines Stakeholder needs

* Drives breakdown of (Epics) to (Features) based on product/feature strategy

* Clearly defines and writes user stories and acceptance criteria

* Voice of the customer in communicating needs and requirements to drive feature implementation and development with associated technology teams

* Defines and accepts the stories as “done,” validating that the stories satisfy the acceptance criteria

* Maintain a prioritized product backlog based on business value, aligning with Innovation, service line and Stakeholder Strategy

* Collaborates with appropriate internal partners to ensure consistency with

UX/UI, and to obtain approvals of wireframes

* Serve as the constant promoting clear lines of communication

* Provides input and helps develop business case documentation

* Uses analytics to monitor product KPI’s and ensure metrics of success are being met

* Identifies opportunities for new features or product enhancements

* Align efforts across services lines and Stakeholders, prioritizing as necessary, and driving/facilitating execution to maintain focus and appropriate momentum

* Collaborate effectively both internally and with external delivery teams to achieve a quality product delivery

* Participate in Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos and Retrospectives

Key Innovation Delivery Analyst tasks include:

* Develop User Stories and Acceptance Criteria

* Identify user story dependencies and priorities

* Define "Done" criteria

* Define "Ready" criteria

* Define, groom, and prioritize epics and features

* Assist in business case development

* Identify feature dependencies and priorities

* Help maintain Innovation Feature Roadmap

* Facilitate User Story Workshops

* Disaggregate and elaborate User

Stories from features

* Help implement sprint process improvements

* Determine User Story readiness

* Participate in Sprint Planning

* Participate in Daily Standup

* Facilitate Product Backlog Grooming Meetings

* Maintain, update, groom Product Backlog

* Participate in Sprint Demo

* Participate in Sprint Retrospective

* Agree upon sprint process improvements

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

What we are looking for in you includes:

* Bachelor’s degree in a related business field

* Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in a Business Analysis or Product Owner role

* Experience using VSTS (Visual Studio Online)

* Experience working as part of an Agile Team

* Proven experience in eliciting requirements from business partners

* Effectively structure and articulate user stories and acceptance criteria

* Experience in analyzing data to draw business relevant conclusions

* Must be able to communicate clearly with all business partners and team members

* Must be able to analyze complex issues, identify root cause and present findings/recommendations to senior level management

* Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to communicate difficult subject matter in a clear and concise fashion and enable successful delivery of innovation

* Ability to effectively execute job duties in a collaborative manner and with sound judgement, pragmatism, and a bias toward results

* Self-confident, is comfortable presenting information to large groups of people, facilitating meetings, and building consensus

* Strong and demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, collaboration, negotiation, influencing, and leadership

* Strong organizational skills including critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

* An advocate of continuous process improvement and proven experience in driving process efficiency, and simplification

* Committed to personal and team excellence and someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

* PMI-ACP (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner) or Certified SAFe® Agilist (SA)
