Analytics and Operational Reporting Supervisor

The Analytics and Operational Reporting Supervisor is responsible for supervising the firm’s Expense Analytics team and ensuring quality control and customer service satisfaction.

Ideal individual will think strategically along with performing tactical tasks, be proactive in identifying problems and raising concerns, while at the same time offering potential solutions to the problems. This individual will need to identify potential opportunities for improvement as well as strive to continuously improve policies, procedures and quality control processes within the Expense Management function.

Grant Thornton LLP seeks an Expense Analytics Supervisor to support expense management & compliance efforts across the firm. Key areas of focus include, but may not be limited to:

Business relationship management and development
Expense review, approval and processing
Policy administration and process development
Data analysis and basic model development
Management & regulatory reporting

Responsibilities:

Supervise, develop, and train staff to properly audit expense reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Oversee the resolution of complex, questionable, or non-compliant transactions in quick, timely, and accurate manner.
Support the function in analyzing firm-wide expense reimbursement data and creating management reports which assess department accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards and policies.
Act as a liaison between compliance department and other functional areas of the firm such as Firm Management, Compliance and Finance
Gain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of firms Corporate Card /Expense Reimbursement policies and Expense Management system
Work with Concur (Expense Management system) to make configuration changes and workflow modifications when necessary.
Work with Accounts Payable to process payments to employees and corporate cards
Understand firms expense payout mechanism in settling corporate card balances with card service provider
Perform compliance adherence related activities
Perform quantitative data analysis using multiple complex data sources; manipulate data and summarize into meaningful deliverables
Continual review of applicable firm policies and processes and suggest changes/modifications through the appropriate channels when necessary.
Assist with employee and staff education of the Expense Management Tool, including development and communication of training documents.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience working in finance or accounting
Prior supervisory experience in expense audit or similar role preferred
Prior experience with Chrome River, Concur, or a similar expense product preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and data visualization tool(s)
Excellent customer service skills
Highly attentive to process, detail and organized with strong analytical/problem solving skills
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team and self-directed
Ability to appropriately handle confidential information
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
