Compliance with constantly changing regulations requires efficient programs with the right technology and protocols in place to complete the task at hand but and report information that is useful to the business and falls within regulatory expectations. Our Financial Management practice can help clients remediate regulatory gaps, both process-related and reporting, as well as design and implement sustainable models that streamline operations, comply with regulatory requirements and meet business needs. Grant Thornton’s Advisory Services Practice seeks a Financial Management (FM) Manager responsible for assisting the team within the four quadrants of the FM umbrella of services, including Financial Transformation, Cost and Performance Management, Financial Operations and Shared Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze business processes and define efforts to remediate gaps in operational performance against regulatory requirements.
Focus on Finance Process Optimization changes that achieve conformance goals
Reassign resource roles for in-scope processes and leverage available business intelligence platforms to achieve required business reporting output in non-compliant environments.
Manage teams and billing, lead client interactions, assist with proposals and proposal development, opportunity pursuit, client expectation and account management.
Identify and address client needs: build, maintain, and utilize networks of client relationships and industry involvement and communicate the value proposition.
Prepare and/or coordinate complex written presentation materials.
Develop client-focused solutions based on understanding strategy, operations and management in a number of functional areas of corporations and organizations.
Utilize previous consulting and industry experience to help companies set and achieve their long term goals.
Perform accurate analyses and design effective solutions for a variety of client issues
Work directly with clients to address their issues and act as the front-line relationship contact
Access Grant Thornton’s global network to bring the best experience to the client
Work with team members and client personnel to plan engagement strategy, define objectives and address risks and issues.
Write and present reports that document results of work performed
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
8+ years of experience in a consulting role serving cross-industry clients at a national level, or relative Finance function role(s) within industry. Data analytics skills a plus.
CPA, CAMS, CRCM, ACFCS, CISA, CISSP, CIA, CISM, or related license/certification.
Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business cases
Process analysis, Reporting & Business Intelligence, Data Analysis & Reconciliation.
Working knowledge of Close-the-books, Chart-of-Accounts, Financial Planning and Analysis & Financial Benchmarking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills

Additional Information:

Location: Atlanta, Charlotte. Other major markets may be considered.

Client-related travel required (may be up to 60% - 80%).
