At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

Explain the principles behind the Agile approach to software development.
Differentiate between the testing role in Agile projects compared with the role of testers in non-agile projects.
Contribute positively as an Agile team member focused on testing.
Identify the challenges and difficulties associated with the non-testing activities performed in an Agile team.
Teach/coach a range of soft skills required by effective Agile team members.
Assist in test management and automation tools setup/configuration.
Assist in developing/managing/transferring to team leads agile testing metrics.
Perform regular maturity assessments.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.


5 years + of Agile environment experience.
5 years + of testing background including.
Agile testing process design/setup/implementation.
Test management tools configuration.
Testing Team coaching/development.
Test process maturity assessment.
Relevant certs required
CSTE - Certified Software Tester
CSQA - Certified Software Quality Analyst
CAT - Certified Agile Tester
SCM - Certified Scrum Master
CSPO - Certified Scrum Product Owner
SAFe – Scaled Agile Framework
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
