JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a forward-thinking Intelligent Automation Innovation Manager to work as part of Grant Thornton’s Innovation Team supporting the Firm’s enterprise-wide efforts to deliver operational efficiencies through comprehensive robotic process- and analytic-enabled automations.

In this critical leadership role, you will work as part of a team of innovation professionals led by the Firm’s Innovation Design Director. As part of the Innovation Team, you will be accountable for helping to standup an Intelligent Automation Service Center within the Firm’s office in Bangalore, India. You will also be responsible to defining and designing work processes used to coordinate service center operations with Tax, Audit, and Advisory service lines and market teams operating within the United States. Through these efforts, you will establish, execute, continuously improve, and lead delivery of process automations that help the Firm recast operational inefficiencies as opportunities, and ideate, design, prototype, measure, pivot, select, and deliver innovative automation initiatives.

Working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, business units, clients, and ecosystem partners, you will conduct and lead discovery and process automation design interviews, workshops, exercises, and initiatives. You will produce innovative automation products and solutions that can be taken to market as project accelerators, or used to deliver operational efficiencies, or new business model offerings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will work directly with the Firm’s Tax, Audit, and Advisory practices and market teams to understand operational efficiency and client service challenges and opportunities. You will help identify diverse, creative, and disruptive automation solutions that enable client service quality improvements and allow improved services to be delivered at lower cost. You will identify, develop, build/prototype, and deliver innovative Tax, Audit, and Advisory automation products and assets that drive client value and firm-wide revenue, quality improvement, and market growth.

You will work with the Firm’s Innovation Design Director, and other Innovation Managers, to build rapport, collaborate, and partner with Innovation Owners within the Firm’s service lines and market teams. You will work across the business to (1) identify client service delivery process challenges; (2) define automation opportunities; (3) develop automation business cases; (4) execute automation solution experiments; (5) use client and staff feedback to pivot, improve, and validate automations; (6) plan and manage innovation development, delivery, deployment, operations, and maintenance; and (7) measure automation benefits and business case realization.

Working with Innovation Team emerging technology SMEs, the Firm’s ecosystem of third-party providers, and other Innovation Managers, you will help develop a vision and plan for integrating intelligent automations within the Firm’s service delivery platforms, including client service portals, data ingestion and analytics engines, and production Tax, Audit, and Advisory delivery systems.

You will work closely with Innovation Team leaders to continually improve the Firm’s innovation delivery capabilities. You will help develop training, recruiting, and staffing programs, and participate in innovation planning, budgeting, and business development activities. You will maintain a good working relationship with teammates, clients and work effectively with client management and staff, at all levels, to gather information and perform duties.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

‪What we are looking for in you includes:

· ‪10+ years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function, servicing cross-industry clients at a national level.

· ‪Strong background/experience using emerging robotic process automation technologies and data analytic solutions to deliver business value.

· Strong business acumen and expertise identifying, prioritizing, and remediating Lean wastes, process inefficiencies, and quality challenges through automation.

· Proven ability to help stand-up intelligent process automation service center operations and integrate these operations with on-shore business units.

· Ability to think strategically and possess divergent thinking; bringing updated thinking to solve traditional challenges.

· Proven ability to prioritize and drive solution-centric automation efforts with a geographically distributed team of business and technology professionals.

· Self-confident, is comfortable presenting information to large groups of people, facilitating meetings, and building consensus.

· Strong and demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, collaboration, negotiation, influencing, and leadership.

· Strong organizational skills including critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

· Highly action-oriented, with a leadership style characterized by strong influencing skills; someone who is a change agent who can build collaborative relationships.

· An advocate of continuous process improvement and proven experience in driving process efficiency, and simplification.

· An engaging and approachable personality and a significant history of working successfully with all levels of staff, from front-line through senior executive.

· Committed to personal and team excellence and someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to communicate difficult subject matter in a clear and concise fashion.

· Ability to effectively execute job duties in a collaborative manner and with sound judgement, pragmatism, and a bias toward results.

Up to 50% Travel required.
