Manager – Diversity and Inclusion

The Manager of Diversity and Inclusion will manage the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) team reporting to the National Managing Partner of People Experience. This individual will be responsible for working collaboratively with various lines of business in the creation, promotion and implementation of diversity and inclusion action plans. They will also be responsible for leading, designing and implementing assigned firm-wide diversity and inclusion strategy.

This individual will consult with and provide subject matter expertise to business leadership in the development and/or implementation of diversity plans and initiatives that support workforce, workplace, marketplace, and community diversity growth.

Responsibilities

Program Management
Collaborate with Business Leaders to refine, implement, and/or execute the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy, to align inclusion initiatives with business strategies and metrics
Consult and build relationships with leaders, stakeholders and People and Culture colleagues to provide guidance in developing and managing of diversity and inclusion activities across the firm
Develop tools to implement and deliver innovative programs/initiatives that establish a solid link to align with firm’s business strategies
Design and implement metrics, monitoring and reporting to effectively benchmark organizational progress in D&I, and act as a catalyst for leveraging diversity and inclusion to drive sustainable growth and opportunity.
Guide, and provide subject-matter expertise to Business Resource Group (BRG) executive sponsors and members comprised of business leaders to lead, and execute on the respective BRG goals and objectives
Identify, develop and foster relationships with relevant external organizations, thought leaders, partners and vendors
Ensure diversity outcome is reflected in the workforce/workplace and in business activities, including marketing materials, outreach training, and community facing efforts

Business Partnering
Partner with business to develop additional dversity and inclusion practices and programs that meet firm’s needs
Translate enterprise objectives into actionable plans and initiatives that deliver value added benefits to the business and enterprise
Support Business Resource Groups by advising and leading D&I Scorecard Action Plans, and working with Business Resource groups (BRG’s) to achieve diversity results
Implement, collaborate, educate, partner, and consult with business and HR areas to effectively build, market, incorporate, and manage business unit and/or diversity and inclusion initiatives
Work collaboratively with human resource and business leaders to foster and promote a systemic practice for enabling, accessing and strengthening D&I decisions that impact people, and practices
Develop tracking strategies to monitor and evaluate impact and (ROI) of programs; develop reports on program effectiveness and make recommendations for program enhancement and improvement

Enterprise Initiatives
Lead, plan, implement, manage change and balance competing priorities, in working with metrics, marketing on D&I goals
Serve as a change agent and influencer to foster and provide “thought leadership” on diversity and inclusion
Manage a progressive diversity agenda, interacting with and influencing decision makers, offering consulting resources and effectively communicating to build relationships and credibility internally and externally
Lead and foster internal/external communications including public speaking and written communications on Diversity and Inclusion issues
Provide strategic thought leadership with the ability to develop and successfully implement practices and programs which affect our firm and community
Lead and implement programs, and act as a role model to demonstrate the firm’s core values/leadership expectations, while interfacing with multiple levels of the organization along with community outreach efforts

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be:
A business-minded professional with years of increasing responsibilities with demonstrated ability to thrive in a culture that is collaborative, service-oriented, and consultative
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Passionate about Diversity and willing to partner at the highest degree with others to accomplish goals and objectives
Collaborative and action-oriented, with ability to influence outcomes and lead change.
Confident with strong personal initiative
Operationally focused with ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
Strong business acumen and business development skills to help foster and embrace D&I team goals
Have external partnerships and outreach initiative experience with external community
Solid PC skills with proficiency in MS Office with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
Executive presence; ability to work across a range of interpersonal and behavioral styles
Strong understanding of program/project management methodologies, business processes, and leading practices
