Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Risk Advisory service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assists the audit managers and assume responsibility to manage an assigned team and execute the audit plan.
Assists with the development of audit and testing plans.
Provide technical knowledge; work individually and on teams to support the completion of specific tasks within time and budget constraints; and interface with the client on a day-to-day basis.
In addition, Senior Associates apply their expertise to the practical issues they identify or those presented by the client.
They also help the Information Systems Principal and Managers formulate solutions; prepare deliverables, and documentation, and support presentations and client meetings.
Senior Associates direct the work of staff and review workpapers and reports for accuracy and completeness.
Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns throughout the engagement lifecycle and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews.
Assist partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls.
Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

Secret Clearance required.
CISA certification preferred.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 3 years' experience auditing information systems.
Experience with Big 4, Big 8 or other notable Audit firm.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems is preferred.
Experience supervising staff.
Experience under AICPA, GAO, and GAGAS audit standards preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
