ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Director will be responsible for the growth and direction of Grant Thornton's Public-Private Partnership Initiative.
He/she will be expected to execute a business plan to bring Grant Thornton into the domestic P3 advisory market.
Grant Thornton is looking for a recognized P3 expert who has deep experience conducting P3 analysis in transit, aviation, water/sewer, social infrastructure and healthcare.
The individual will be expected to execute Grant Thornton's go-to-market strategy in consultation with the firm's business development partners and lobbying firms.
This leadership includes conducting capture in target states, responding to strategically sensible RFPs and growing a team of experts who are well-versed in the baseline knowledge that is needed to support governments in P3 procurement analysis.
The Director will be responsible for cultivating a team of professionals with the necessary expertise to respond to and execute engagements.
There will be a need for significant coordination with Grant Thornton's international member firms in the United Kingdom and South Africa.
This individual is expected to contribute thought leadership and pursue innovative strategies to strengthen Grant Thornton's brand awareness in the P3 space.
This role will require leveraging both Grant Thornton's Public Sector and Commercial spheres to build a team with a full-suite of qualifications.
Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.

Qualifications

10+ years experience conducting P3 analysis.
3 years experience conducting P3 analysis in the United States
Due Diligence.
Procurement Advisory experience.
Value for Money Analysis experience.
Business Case Development.
Strongly preferred sector expertise: transit, aviation, water/sewer, social infrastructure, healthcare.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Coach and mentor junior staff members.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
