Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Performance Transformation service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

Provide Acquisition Program Management expertise to a Government lead and team that provides acquisition strategy program management services to senior management and works across Client directorates to help the Government coordinate development of new and/or modified/enhanced capabilities for operational use.
Provides technical expertise and assistance to the Government on programmatic matters related to lifecycle engineering.
Provides program management expertise in service frameworks and models, agile engineering processes, and industry best practices to achieve Client mission.
Provide technical, financial, schedule and risk management expertise and assistance to the project, program or Program Management Office (PMO).
Provide business executive support in linking Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Budget Planning with Budget Execution and Control.
Provide programmatic risk assessments, mitigation strategies and risk burn down plans to achieve the desired program results.
Support coordination of cost estimates and technical work scope with the PMO and appropriate project or program teams.
Interface with all Client organizational areas, end users/customers and with both foreign and domestic agencies to identify and mitigate risks, develop and manage budgets, create and maintain schedules that ensure technical results and program performance.
Recommend programmatic optimization, synchronization and efficiencies, as well as identify planning gaps and shortfalls that affect the delivery of engineering services and technical results.
Provide program management support to Client Management in strategic business planning, business development activities, product concept development and Information Technology engineering.
Provide immediate, near, mid and long term programmatic assessments of GEOINT Services and Portfolio Programs to ensure mission objectives are met.
Ensure programmatic alignment and adherence to the Client Vision and Portfolio Priorities and Objectives.
Support the development, coordination and governance management of Request For Change (RFC’s) and Engineering Change Proposal (ECPs) requirements documents.
Monitor the technical maintenance and configuration management of program and project plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), architecture diagrams, and other key program documents.
Provide decision support analysis, leveraging techniques, tools and models, to influence the definition and delivery of GEOINT Services and Portfolio priorities and objectives.
Support the preparation of briefing packages for the Acquisition Governance Process and other related governance boards.
Support the coordination of program management between the Engineering Divisions, CIO-T Offices, NGA Directorates and the five Portfolio elements.
Support Client and IC Steering Groups, Advisory Groups and Governance Boards.
Support relationship management with the five Client Portfolio Managers (Pfm’s), Portfolio Leads (PIL’s) and Capability Portfolio Managers (CPM’s) as defined by the specific acquisition program/project.
Support cross functional/cross geographical team meetings.
Assist in developing and providing responses to the Client Taskers and other requests for program information.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials


TS/SCI Clearance required.
PMP required.
Knowledge of acquisition or PM for cost, schedule, performance, and risk management.
M.S. in Engineering, Comp Science, Info Sys, Acquisition, Business (desired).
Tech planning experience in Def & IC (desired).
Experience managing all types of FFP, T&M, or IDIQ contracts (desired).
Has developed and executed agile-based governance structures and processes and six-sigma approaches (desired).
Experience with the identification of technical issues and proactive communication of possible impacts to clients (desired).
Experience with Cost estimate dev (desired).
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field required. U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
