Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its IT Advisory service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Develop PMO management plans, project plans and transition plans.
Support the maintenance of the project’s SharePoint repository.
Assist project leads in management of the project plan.
Create meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes, and develop presentation materials.
Manage and facilitate deliverable review and approval meetings.
Manage resource time tracking and project financials (earn vs. burn).
Create and review invoices and manage them from creation to payment.
Produce weekly status reports utilizing project management data.
Manage risks and issues including facilitation of periodic meetings.
Develop project document templates.
Create roll-on materials and support onboarding, including orientation and system access.
Facilitate resource roll-offs to ensure proper exit protocols are followed.
Develop and coordinate a logistics plan to support the physical work space required for the project team.
Assist with engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

Qualifications

2-4 years of project management/business consulting experience.
Project management office operations gained through education, experience or skill certification.
Assisting in execution of project to ensure goals and objectives are met within established milestones.
Excellent PC skills including MS Project and Office.
Information technology PMO experience required.
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
CAPM certification preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
