Grant Thornton is seeking an Associate to join its Performance Transformation service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provide support in the formulation and execution of the Client budget.
Prepare budget and cost analyses for ad-hoc requests.
Assist in the identification and development of IT financial-related products and services.
Maintain and assign budget related Program/Project/ Activity (PPA) codes as directed by the Client.
Maintain the IT PPA Code listing. This includes the creation of new codes or updating IT PPA Code status (expired, invalid, and valid).
Provide support for the ABC model, which combines Activity Based Costing (ABC) with business process analysis techniques to measure, analyze, and improve the performance of a business or organization.
Assist in the revision of the current OCIO ABC model and provide recommendations for improving the OCIO Activity Based Modeling (ABM) model.
Maintain and refine the OCIO Activity Dictionary and Cost Driver Dictionary listings.
Maintain and refine the mapping of OCIO Activity Based Model (ABM) activities with the OCIO Budget lines.
Assist in the development and maintenance of an OCIO ABM model website.
Provide input and recommendations to the OCIO ABM model team and the Office of Finance team.
Coordinate with the Office of Finance to deliver monthly cost reporting results from the OCIO ABM model.
Deliver OCIO ABM model team monthly status reports.
Support Client Financial Resource Management Division (FRMD) Cost Accounting team.
Provide inputs to the Client Activity Based Costing/Information (ABI) model.
Process OCIO cost drivers in support of the ABI model.
Conduct multi-level, detailed analysis of expenditure data.
Provide monthly and quarterly analysis to OCIO leadership.
Create, maintain and dispose of Client charge codes.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

Qualifications

Understanding of federal financial management.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
